The Hazelwood fields took a beating during the 2012 summer season and are now in the process of being repaired for next summer.  Crews from the City of Maplewood spread several truck loads of black dirt over fields #1, 3, and 4, to level them out.  Board member then spread grass seed liberally across the fields and worked it into the loose top soil.  The City will be watering these fields twice a day to get the seed established.  Goals have been removed from these fields and everyone is asked to stay off of them until at least mid-April to allow them the best chance for recovery.  If you happen to be at the Hazelwood fields and notice anyone on these fields, please ask them to stay off the fields while they are under repair.
