2015 October US Youth Soccer Show

By North East United, 11/11/15, 2:30PM CST

Change is coming!

The US Youth Soccer Show released this video in October.  The video begins by highlighting the benefits of youth soccer beyond the playing field. Teaching children at a young age how to work in a group dynamic will be a skill they carry with them their entire life.  At NEU we are proud to share the fun of soccer with your children and teach them skills they will use throughout their life.

This video highlights some very important changes coming in the summer of 2017.  The Minnesota Youth Soccer Association (MYSA) is a member of the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) which is the governing body of all US Soccer.  MYSA is implementing a change from school year grouping of teams to birth year for the 2017 summer session to comply with the national changes put forth by USSF.

What does this mean?

Currently players are grouped from Aug. 1st to July 31st.  In the summer 2017 players will be grouped from Jan. 1st to Dec. 31st.    At NEU we will still perform player evaluations and place players on the appropriate team for their skill level.
